North East Lincolnshire: People urged to have their say on Local Plan

People living and working in North East Lincolnshire are being urged to have their say on how the borough should grow and develop over the next decade.

The council's Local Plan sets out how the area can develop up to 2032, including where new homes can be built.

First adopted in 2018, the plan has been reviewed after five years and, on Monday, senior councillors agreed to ask people what they think of it.

A consultation is due to begin in mid-January and will last eight weeks.

North East Lincolnshire Council cabinet member Stewart Swinburn said: "Please remember this consultation will be open for everyone who lives and works in North East Lincolnshire.

"If you want to understand how our borough is likely to develop, whether it is housing, green spaces, the environment or industrial and business, then please do get involved."

The consultation will include public events and detailed explanations of key priorities including jobs growth and the homes that will be needed, the council said.
