Plans to expand Laceby accessible holiday park
A holiday park that caters for people with disabilities has announced plans to more than double its accommodation.
Noah's Retreat in Laceby, near Grimsby, was granted approval for 31 lodges in late 2020, but now wants to expand with a further 53 lodges or static caravans.
A planning application document states the proposed expansion is "in response to ongoing demand from customers".
On its website, the retreat states its intent for the park and its lodges is to be accessible to all.
"We are committed to providing a holiday experience that can be enjoyed by all and we have developed this retreat with accessibility at its heart," it says.
The plans include adding further accommodation close to an existing lake, and a mixture of 38 static caravans and small lodges in the north-east part of the site.
Car park spaces would more than double from 69 to 145 spaces.
According to the the Local Democracy Reporting Service, a transport statement said there would be no detrimental impact from the proposal.
The only nearby home is owned by the applicant, and "accordingly there will be no detrimental impact on residential amenity", the application said.
