A second hotel in Worcestershire will no longer be used to house asylum seekers from next year.

The Home Office is terminating its contract with Heath Hotel in Bewdley, Wyre Forest District Council said.

It welcomed the decision and added residents would be given notice and moved to other government accommodation by the end of February.

Heath Hotel is one of 50 across the UK which will be closed as part of the government's plan to cut asylum claims.

Gainsborough House in Kidderminster, which houses asylum seekers, had its contract terminated last week.
