Boy's Redditch food bank restocked after theft by panda-mask raider

A 12-year-old boy whose food bank supplies were stolen by an intruder wearing a panda mask has been able to re-stock it with donated items.

CCTV at Isaac's Worcestershire home captured the raider taking items from his family's garden shed, on 2 October.

Isaac, from Redditch, who has set up several food banks in the town, said he was devastated by the theft.

Now, Aldi has stepped in with £500 of products to replace the items after staff were "saddened" by the incident.

Isaac started the first food bank from his driveway during lockdown, but after seeing the amount of people in need, organised three more points to store donations.

His mother Claire-Louise Chapman said he had sent out about 4,000 food parcels this year.

But the theft was the second one the family had experienced and plans for a fifth site to be used as a food bank have now been put on hold while an alarm system is set up.

Isaac, who has a rare chromosome disorder, said he was "delighted" by the donations to restock the shed.
