Facial recognition cameras trialled in Southampton nightclubs
Live facial recognition cameras are being trialled to help stop banned individuals entering pubs and clubs.
The scheme is running for three months across six venues in Southampton, Hampshire.
It has been brought in after businesses found previous offenders were still getting into night-time venues due to fake IDs or human error.
The cameras use images of 65 banned offenders and alert doors staff once they attempt to enter a venue.
