Watch: Police reveal DNA placenta evidence
The BBC has been given new information about an investigation into the discovery of a human placenta in June.
Hampshire Constabulary have revealed it was believed to be from a woman of west African heritage.
They say they are still concerned about the whereabouts and wellbeing of the mother, and are urging her or someone who knows her, to come forward.
The placenta was found near the Spire and General hospitals, off Dale Road in Southampton, on 21 June.
Hampshire Constabulary described the case as a "significant mystery" but said knowing the ethnicity of the woman opened a new line of inquiry.
