The animals are now in specialist care, Gloucestershire Police said

Police have found an abandoned scorpion and spider in a woodland.

Gloucestershire Police said officers responded to reports of "abandoned exotic animals" near Tetbury.

They found one container with a scorpion inside and another one with a spider in it, the force said.

The animals have been recovered and taken to a specialist out of the county, police said, adding anyone with information about the find should contact officers.
