Crews investigate Harlow tower block gas leak fears
Some people were advised to leave a tower block after one resident reported a carbon monoxide leak.
Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said it was called "by a concerned resident" to Edmunds Tower in Haydens Road, Harlow at 16:18 GMT on Saturday.
Six fire engines attended, but the service later ruled out a gas leak.
Posting on X, Dan Swords, Harlow Council leader, said three families were advised to attend hospital "as a precaution" but everyone was OK.
He said: "Thankfully, everyone is OK and I would like to thank the fire service, council staff and [gas company] Cadent for their response in dealing with this situation.
"Our housing officers will be carrying out further visits to the tower in the coming days and speaking individually to residents."
