Motocross centre boss 'devastated' by bikes theft
A motocross school director has said he is devastated by the theft of the centre's fleet of off-road bikes.
Police said six motocross bikes were stolen from farm premises near Henstridge on the Dorset-Somerset border.
MX Factory director Neil Berry said the culprits broke locks on gates and doors in the early hours of Tuesday morning, taking the bikes and other equipment.
He said his business had only just recovered from the Covid pandemic.
Writing on social media, he said: "I am devastated... The impact this will have on my small business is huge.
"One of the bikes was a brand-new Christmas present for a customer."
He said one of the bikes was recovered at about 06:00 GMT on Tuesday, when the farmer saw it in the possession of a "young lad" who then ran off.
Mr Berry said he would make an insurance claim and was checking for CCTV images of the intruders
