Coastguard issues warning after cliff fall at North Devon beach
Lynmouth Coastguard Search and Rescue A coastguard search and rescue team has issued a warning to beachgoers after a "significant" cliff fall in Devon.
The Lynmouth coastguard team said there had been a "significant rock fall" from Castle Rock onto Wringcliff beach.
The incident happened overnight on Saturday and Sunday, it said.
People have been asked to stay away from the area by the team, which said it had informed Lynton and Lynmouth Town Council, which could then "put in place any measures they may see fit".
On Facebook, the service said: "In the meantime please refrain from accessing this area as not only is the path to the beach unsafe as it is very eroded but there is a high risk of further rock falls and we do not want anyone to put themselves in harms way."
