Wembury death: Woman charged with murder

A 31-year-old woman has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 60-year-old man.

Jodie Swannick, formerly of Stoke Road, Plymouth, but now of no fixed address, appeared by video link at Plymouth Magistrates Court on Wednesday.She is accused of murdering Stephen Fogg, whose body was found at a bungalow in Hawthorn Drive, Wembury, on 17 December.

Ms Swannick was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Exeter Crown Court on 25 January for a plea entry.

A 41-year-old man arrested on Monday has not yet been charged in connection to the murder, Devon and Cornwall Police said.
