Peak District climber taken by air ambulance after 8m fall

A climber has been rescued after falling 8m while ascending a route in the Peak District in Derbyshire.
Edale Mountain Rescue Team said the climber fell in the Mississippi Buttress area of Stanage on Sunday at about 16:00 BST.
The team said a volunteer who was nearby found the climber with potentially serious injuries.
He was treated before being taken to the Major Trauma Centre in Sheffield by air ambulance, the team added.
