Kendal Calling has announced its line-up for 2024

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and Paolo Nutini are among five headline acts coming to this year's Kendal Calling festival.

They will be joined by The Streets, Paul Heaton with guest singer Rianne Downey, and British rock band Keane.

Former footballer Gary Neville will also be taking to the stage with a DJ set, alongside Tim Burgess.

Tickets are still available for Kendal Calling, which will take place from 1 - 4 August at Lowther Deer Park.

Andy Smith, Kendal Calling co-founder, said: "It is with much joy and excitement we share with you today the biggest Kendal Calling line-up to date.

"We have the perfect ingredients for a fantastically celebratory weekend. But as ever the most important ingredient is you - and we can't to see you in the fields."

More than 120 acts will be performing at the festival this year, including pop trio Sugababes, who will be playing their string of hits after the original band members reformed in 2019.

Alongside some huge bands, comedians Russell Howard and Liverpool's Paul Smith will be entertaining the crowds, while children's entertainers Dick & Dom are returning with a "high-octane performance".

'Impromptu singalong'

Football fans will also get to see one of the legends of the game show off his musical skills.

Tim Burgess said: "I'm very excited about the prospect of DJing with Gary - he's got great taste in music.

"Last time we shared a stage was when he joined The Charlatans on guitar. I can't promise we'll be doing any songs together but there might be an impromptu singalong at some point."

Tickets to Kendal Calling went on sale in August 2023 and organisers say 60% of the tickets have been sold so far.
