Resurfacing works on A66 near Keswick to run for five weeks

Overnight resurfacing works will be carried out on a major route through the Lake District from Monday.
A section of the A66 from Threlkeld to the outskirts of Keswick will be renewed by National Highways over a five-week period.
The work will take place between 20:00 and 06:00, with a convoy system in operation to keep traffic flowing.
Motorists have been warned some side roads along the 3.5-mile (5.6km) route will need to be closed.
National Highways Project Manager William Paterson said: "To keep disruption to a minimum, we'll have a convoy system in place where vehicles are held at traffic lights before being escorted through the roadworks by a shuttle vehicle at a speed limit of 10mph.
"This will allow us to work on sections of the road at a time, so the road can stay open and traffic can keep moving."
Local diversions will be signposted when side roads are closed to prevent "rat running" through Threlkeld village.
