Barrow: Roose library badly damaged in 'significant' fire
A "significant" fire has badly damaged a library in Cumbria.
Emergency crews were called to Roose Library, Barrow-in-Furness, at about 20:00 BST on Wednesday, with footage on social media showing smoke coming from the building.
Police and Cumbria's fire service are investigating what happened.
Westmorland and Furness Council's chief executive Sam Plum said nobody was hurt but the library would remain closed until further notice.
Firefighters have since left the scene and Roose Road has reopened to traffic.
