Fire crews have tackled a blaze which involved 12 vehicles and caravans in Cornwall.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said it got a call about a fire "in the open" at St Merryn, near Padstow, at 03:51 BST.

Crews from Padstow, Wadebridge, Newquay and St Columb were sent to fight the flames.

The fire service said the "incident is now being scaled back to one appliance which will be dampening down".

It said earlier: "Crews have stated there are multiple vehicles and caravans involved."
