Ancient silver ball hurling tradition returns to St Ives
The 1000-year-old tradition of Hurling the Silver Ball has returned after a year off due to the pandemic.
A ball is hurled into a crowd on the beach in St Ives by the mayor and children run around trying to keep possession.
The event takes place as part of the town's annual Feast Day which also celebrates St Eia, the patron saint of St Ives.
