Croxton A428 crash: Tributes paid to 'funny, geeky' 20-year-old
A 20-year-old man killed in a crash on the A428 has been described as "loving, gentle, funny, geeky and hardworking" by his family.
Jack Bayford died at the scene of the crash near Croxton, Cambridgeshire, on Friday at 06:40 GMT.
The young man, from Elstow, near Bedford, was driving a silver Mazda MX5, which was involved in a crash with a blue Scania HGV, which then collided with a grey Nissan Qashqai.
Police said they were investigating.
In a statement, Mr Bayford's family said they were "beyond heartbroken at the sudden loss of Jack".
"He was kind, loving, gentle, funny, geeky and hardworking and had his whole life in front of him," they said.
"To be taken too soon and in this way feels so cruel and we are still struggling to believe it is real.
"Jack was a much-loved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and boyfriend. He will forever be loved and remembered by his family and friends; especially his mum, dad, little sister and his soulmate Mady.
"Rest in peace, our beautiful boy."
The drivers of the other vehicles remained at the scene, Cambridgeshire Police said.
Det Con Fay Millen asked for anyone who witnessed the crash, or saw any of the vehicles before it happened, to contact the force.
