Sea Mills deaths: Children died from knife wounds to neck and chest
Three young children found dead at their home died from knife wounds to the neck and chest, an inquest has been told.
The bodies of Fares Bash, aged seven, Joury Bash, three, and nine-month-old Mohammed Bash were found in Sea Mills, Bristol, on 18 February.
The hearing at Avon Coroner's Court was also told that tests on Fares also showed possible signs of asphyxia.
The inquest has been adjourned while police continue their investigation.
Speaking outside the hearing on Tuesday, the father of the children, Alfil Bash, said he could not get his head around what had happened.
Mr Bash described his oldest son as a "genius boy" who loved football, singing and maths.
A 42-year-old woman, arrested on suspicion of murder, has been detained under the Mental Health Act after being taken to hospital for injuries which were not life-threatening.
Following the deaths, Avon and Somerset Police referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) over prior contact but the watchdog said no investigation was required.
