BBC series Chloe: Bristol showcased in psychological drama
The latest drama series to be filmed in Bristol begins on BBC One on Sunday.
Multiple locations in the city and surrounding countryside were used for the backdrop of psychological thriller Chloe.
Erin Doherty, who played Princess Anne in Netflix series The Crown, stars as lead character Becky Green.
The show's producer, Joanna Crow, said Bristol was a city that "carries drama in its blood".
"Chloe has an idiosyncratic yet distinctively Bristol/South-West look and sound, but its thrilling story of obsession and grief is universally relatable," she added.
Chloe follows 2021's successes The Outlaws and Showtrial, both of which were filmed in and around the city and also set there.
It tells the story of how Becky, who still lives with her mother, compares herself to other seemingly more perfect lives on social media - fixating in particular on that of Chloe, a former friend and played by Poppy Gilbert.
Chloe is married and has a set of high-achieving friends around her, a life that seems far from Becky's.
Dramatic events lead to Becky being able to infiltrate Chloe's life using a new identity, confusing fantasy and reality.
Bristol Film Office supported the crew during 15 weeks of filming, and the Bottle Yard studios in Whitchurch were also used.
Residents of the city will spot a warehouse near the Cumberland Basin being used as a nightclub, the harbourside, St Philips and Montpelier along with the Bristol Marriott on College Green, St George's Hall, Clifton and a house in Redland.
Senior Bristol film manager Laura Aviles said: "This is another important high-end TV drama made and set in Bristol, with an intensely gripping, modern plot incorporating the timely theme of social media's increasing prominence in our everyday lives.
"It was our pleasure to support the filming of Chloe in and around Bristol."
Further afield, Ston Easton Country Park, Brean Down, Pill, Uphill and Abbots Leigh in Somerset, along with Wiltshire town Corsham, were also used by the production.
As well as being filmed in and around Bristol, Chloe features art created by Carl Melegari, who lives in the city, and Adrian Utley, from the band Portishead, contributed to the score.
Chloe begins on BBC One at 21:00 GMT on Sunday 6 Feb and runs for six episodes.
