Network Rail said a speed restriction is in place after a landslip

Train lines between Reading and London Paddington have reopened after a landslip.

Speed restrictions will be in place "on a short section" a spokesperson from Network Rail said.

The landslip meant services on Great Western Railway (GWR) were unable to run between Twyford and Reading.

Network Rail is continuing to monitor the impacted embankment to "keep everyone safe."

A spokesperson for Network Rail said: "Teams have worked through the night to clear spoil from the landslip near Twyford.

"A speed restriction remains in place on a short section of the line adjacent to the site, which may have a minimal impact on journey times. We are continuing to monitor the embankment to keep everyone safe and enable trains to run."
