Luton off-duty police officer tried to save driver from burning car
A driver died after their car burst into flames when it crashed in a ditch, police said.
The car rolled over on its roof in Barford Road, Little Barford, in Bedfordshire at about 20:00 GMT on Friday.
An off-duty police officer who was passing at the time spotted the vehicle and managed to pull the driver free.
A Bedfordshire Police spokeswoman confirmed the driver of the vehicle later died.
