Barnaby's Webber's mum: 'UK law means murderers can get away with murder'
The families of those killed in the Nottingham stabbing attacks have reacted to a review into the CPS's handling of the case.
Barnaby Webber's mum, Emma, criticised the law in the UK which she said: "Means murderers can get away with murder."
The review, ordered by the attorney general, looked at prosecutors' decision to accept manslaughter pleas, and how the victims' families were consulted.
Barnaby Webber and Grace O'Malley-Kumar, both 19, were fatally stabbed on 13 June 2023, along with Ian Coates, 65.
Their killer, Valdo Calocane, was given a hospital order after admitting manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility, he was not tried for murder.
