Downing Street party: What the government said before the leaked video

Prime Minister Boris Johnson and government ministers have repeatedly insisted rules were not broken when questioned about a Downing Street Christmas party last year.

But after a video of No 10 staff joking about a party emerged, the pressure on government has continued to mount.
