In pictures: World leaders bask in Cornwall sun at G7 summit

The G7 summit in the resort of Carbis Bay in Cornwall, in the south-west of England, has seen the leaders of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the US and UK gather in person for the first time since the pandemic.

The prime minister was up early on Sunday morning, taking a dip in the sea ahead of the final days of talks.

The discussions among the leaders continued earlier in the day - against the stunning backdrop of the Cornish coast.

Most of the discussions over the three day summit are taking place behind closed doors.

And US President Biden and French President Macron also made the most of the sunny weather on Saturday by posing outside as they met for talks.

Separately, climate change protesters organised by Extinction Rebellion walked through Falmouth's town centre.

Ahead of the summit, Britain's Mr Johnson and wife Carrie met US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. After the meeting, Mr Johnson told the BBC the alliance between the US and the UK should be known as the "indestructible relationship".
