The village where Jane Austen was born 250 years ago is staging a Regency-themed country fair.

The plaque is installed at the Reading Abbey Gateway to mark 250 years since the author's birth.

The group has been set up after a number of storms devastated homes and businesses across Oxfordshire.

The festival takes place at Hill Farm, in Steventon, Oxfordshire on 24 to 27 July 2025.

About 25,000 revellers took part in the four-day festival at Hill Farm, with headliners including IDLES, Jamie T, and Wet Leg.

Gates opened at 13:00 BST on Thursday, with revellers flocking to the campsite for the four-day event.
