Two fires broke out on Saturday evening with a third tackled on Sunday night, fire crews say.

A swan suffered serious injuries after being attacked by two youngsters, Hampshire police said.

The fire spread across about five acres of undergrowth on the heath off the A30 on Friday afternoon.

Residents suffered from "organisational abuse and neglect", the Care Quality Commission said.

Part of the path, which runs from Newport to Sandown on the Isle of Wight, has been prone to flooding.
