The World Wide Fund for Nature is unhappy about a retrospective planning application.

The supplier says it will not sell any pigs that were based at the farm near Market Rasen.

Cranswick says it has suspended "the team" at one of its Lincolnshire sites while it investigates.

A spokesperson for Cranswick says it is a "bad day for the sustainable production of British meat".

The charity claims the impact of the facility on the climate has not been properly assessed.

Millions of chickens and tens of thousands of pigs may be reared on the site.
