The IWGB union says delays at TfL have left some drivers unable to work for months at a time.

The company says it is good news for users, but Norwich's Black Cabs Association fears it could be harmful.

Uber says "unmet demand is high" in Plymouth but a local taxi firm fears it could "destroy the local marketplace".

The firm launched its service after Oxford City Council said it "found no reason to refuse".

The US companies join other major firms donating funds for the ceremony on 20 January.
