Telecoms company Cornerstone wanted to build a mast on the outskirts of Wolverhampton.

A report of the fire on the Andersonstown Road was made shortly before 22:00 GMT on Wednesday.

Telecoms firm Sure completes its purchase of rival Airtel Vodafone in the Channel Islands.

It comes after the States agreed to suspend competition law to allow Sure to buy rival Airtel.

The committee says there are "public benefits" to Sure buying Airtel-Vodaphone that justify the move.

An existing mast in the Pallion area will be made bigger, and 5G technology added.

The 5G mast could be installed at South Staffordshire Golf Club on Codsall Road in Tettenhall.
