Justice Secretary Angela Constance is using existing ministerial powers to remove means-testing for legal aid in such cases.

Two fatal accident inquiries have been held this year into the deaths of three young in Polmont Young Offenders Institution.

Jonathan Beadle, 17,  is understood to have taken his own life at the facility on Saturday.

The boy, who took his own life, was in the facility years after the government pledged to stop sending under-18s to Polmont.
