Patricia and Martin Evans are remembered as an "amazing couple" as their killer is jailed.

The work is part of £14.3m project to upgrade roads in the area.

Jennings says the "firm favourites" to bring back are Cumberland Ale and Bitter.

Yew Tree Hall in Cumbria was one of the original Jennings malting barns, the community group says.

The plan is for 10 new hubs, including in Barnard Castle in County Durham and Cockermouth in Cumbria.

The Cockermouth brewery site is now owned by local couple Kurt and Rebecca Canfield.

The town council says it is pushing for funding from Cumberland Council for the route.

An ecologist report submitted by the applicant says there are no red squirrels nesting at the site.
