High Peak Borough Council wants new powers to help prevent wildfires from starting.

High Peak Borough Council says payments will be contactless only when the car park toilets reopen.

Unison members will now vote on the deal, but if it is rejected the strikes may be back on.

The vision includes repurposing a shopping centre with new shops, bars, cafes, homes and work spaces.

Shoppers will be able to park in council-owned car parks for free on every Saturday in December.

It is expected to take around six weeks to complete and should be open before Christmas.
