M25 motorway

The Volkswagen Golf R has only 137 miles (220km) on the clock when it is taken from a newly-qualified driver.

Motorists can drive through the Wisely Interchange, but they can't leave or join the M25 or A3.

Surrey Police said they have received multiple reports of a group throwing stones on to the M25.

National Highways says the 50mph limits are needed to test newly installed safety equipment.

The M25 and A3 will remain open, but the slip roads and roundabout at junction 10 will be closed.

Surrey Police are asking any witnesses to the crash on Wednesday morning to come forward.

The closures are part of a project to widen both carriageways, due to be finished by spring 2026.

Two slip roads between the A3 and M25 at Wisley will be closed over the weekend of 9 to 12 May.
