The Scottish Labour leader told BBC Scotland's Sunday Show that SNP tactics pushed voters to Reform UK.

Labour's Davy Russell won with 8,559 votes, a majority of 602 over the SNP.

Reform UK recorded their best ever parliamentary election result in Scotland - with a 26% share of the vote.

Davy Russell was branded the invisible man by opponents in the Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse by-election campaign.

The result in the Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse by-election came as a surprise to many pundits.

The ballot is being held following the death of local MSP and government minister Christina McKelvie.
