Shonda Rhimes and the cast of her show Grey's Anatomy are the latest high-profile Americans to kneel in a protest against racial injustice in the US.

The movement was started when American footballer Colin Kaepernick knelt during the national anthem before a game in a demonstration against police brutality towards black people.

The action has now spread to celebrities in the US.

They've been using the hashtag #TakeAKnee to promote the cause.
