The mum who quit work to drive her disabled son to school

Education Secretary, Justine Greening, has announced a review of the guidance given to councils about school transport for disabled children, after concerns were raised that some parents were receiving misleading advice.

Research by the charity Contact - shown to BBC Five Live Investigates - found that people were having to reduce their working hours or give up altogether to take their children to school.

One mum, Christine Anderson, quit her job and now makes the 60-mile round trip every day with 15-year-old Christopher, who has physical and learning disabilities including spina bifida and hydrocephalus.
