First and second place for the Channel Island Christmas Lottery have not been claimed yet, the States of Guernsey has said.

Winners of the first prize-winning ticket of £483,795, which was issued in Jersey, and a second place of £50,000 issued in Guernsey, are yet to be announced due to no-one coming forward.

In 2023, a syndicate of 40 women in Guernsey won the top prize, taking home £12,500 each.

Jon Taylor, head of lottery for the States of Guernsey, urged people to "double check their tickets".

He said: "Participants have 12 months to claim their prize.

"After this period, the funds are disbursed to worthy causes and charities through the Social Investment Fund in Guernsey and the Jersey Community Foundation and Association of Jersey Charities in Jersey."
