A fourth man has been arrested after a man inside a car was shot dead.

Raad Asmael died after being shot in Rotton Park Road at the junction of City Road in Edgbaston, Birmingham, on 22 November.

The latest man to be arrested was 21 and was being held on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and remained in custody for questioning, West Midlands Police said.

A 24-year-old man was previously arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and two other men, aged 25 and 31, were held on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Those three men have since been bailed pending further enquiries.

The force also said that after examination a firearm recovered from an address earlier in the investigation had been found not to be linked to the murder.
