Shut windows and doors warning due to barn fire

Residents near Tiverton in Devon were advised to shut windows and doors after a fire broke out in a barn.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to the large blaze in the Halberton area shortly before 22:00 GMT on Tuesday.

Firefighters from multiple stations attended the fire at the large agricultural building, which contained straw and machinery, it said.

The fire was extinguished earlier and crews have left the scene, the fire service said.
