Police say the 39-year-old was also arrested in connection with incidents in August and September

Police investigating a robbery at a beauty salon in Nottinghamshire have arrested a man on suspicion of carrying out multiple offences.

Officers were called to Ayelashes, in Victoria Road in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, on 1 October after two masked men entered the premises and demanded cash.

One of them snatched a handbag from a customer, whose bank card was later used at a shop in Sutton-in-Ashfield.

Police said a 39-year-old was initially arrested on suspicion of robbery after being found in a loft at a house in the town on Tuesday.

He was later arrested in connection with an incident in Barnes Crescent on 28 August when a man was seen in the street with a crossbow, and another in Outram Street on 13 September when a catapult was fired at a man.

The force said the man was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and assault in connection with both incidents.
