Attempted murder charge over south Belfast stabbing

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing in south Belfast.

The 18-year-old has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence in connection with the stabbing in the Ormeau Road on Saturday 1 March.

Separately, he has also been charged with threats to kill, criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon in connection with offences committed between Monday 24 February and Friday 7 March.

He is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
