A family attraction in North Devon has been ransacked after thieves took off with cash, charity collections and a power drill, police have said.

The burglary happened at Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park overnight between 5 and 6 September.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Entry was forced into a building on site and several thousands of pounds worth of cash stolen from within the offices."

A power drill, known as a Milwaukee impact driver, and money that had been collected for charity was also stolen.

The force has said it is interested in hearing from anyone who may have private or business CCTV capable of seeing passing vehicles along the A399 between the edge of Combe Martin itself and Easter Close Cross.
