Motorcyclist in serious condition after crash

A motorcyclist is in hospital in a serious condition after a crash near Harrogate.

The rider was in hurt in the incident in Ripley at about 12:00 GMT on Saturday, according to North Yorkshire Police.

It involved a BMW S100R and a black Audi Q5.

The road remained closed until 18:30 GMT.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the crash or either of the vehicles beforehand to get in touch.
