Four teenagers have been arrested after a police chase of a suspected stolen car between Kidderminster and Stourbridge that ended in a crash.

The boys, three aged 17 and one 15, were arrested on suspicion of car theft on Sunday after the police pursuit began just before 13:00 BST.

A stinger device was successfully deployed, but the driver continued trying to make off, before hitting two other vehicles, and coming to a stop on Norton Road, Stourbridge.

All four occupants of the car were also arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failure to stop, and going equipped.

One of the 17-year-olds was additionally held on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of drugs, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.

The car theft related to an incident in Kidderminster on 20 June, a West Mercia Police spokesperson said.

They added no one was injured as a result of the pursuit, but mobile phones, drugs and a hammer had been seized from the vehicle.

The 15-year-old suspect has been bailed as inquiries continue, and the other boys remain in police custody.
