A festival celebrating archaeology will take place across National Trust sites in Lincolnshire.

Running from 13 to 28 July, Tattershall Castle and Gunby Hall in Spilsby will offer guided walks and talks, children's activities, excavations and finds handling.

It will be hosted by the Council for British Archaeology (CBA) and supported by the National Trust.

Tattershall Castle will offer brass rubbing in the Parlour and Gunby Hall will offer archaeology art activities in the courtyard.

Tattershall Castle, which is 800 years old, will present artefacts during the festival that were uncovered during its restoration in the early 1900s.

There will also be a 0.7-mile (1.2km) walk of the wider estate to discover more about the site during the 1400s.

A four-mile (6.4km) archaeology walk will take place at Gunby Hall on 27 July from 10:15 until 12:15 BST from Gunby to Bratoft Manor.
