Police are looking to speak to a lorry or tipper truck driver who is believed to have been in the area immediately before a fatal crash in Marden.

A motorcyclist in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene after the two-vehicle collision in Maidstone Road at 15:40 BST on Sunday.

The incident involved a white Fiat Panda and a green Kawasaki motorbike, Kent Police said.

Det Con Claire Fullagar said: "It has been reported the driver of an aggregates lorry stopped briefly at the scene to check on the welfare of the person in the Fiat Panda."

She added that the driver allegedly left their details with another member of the public at the scene.

The lorry driver's vehicle is not believed to have been involved in the crash, Kent Police added.

"We are now looking to identify the lorry driver, and encourage them, the person in receipt of their details, or anyone with information to contact police," Ms Fullagar said.

South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended the incident.

Anyone with information about the lorry or tipper truck is urged to contact the force's serious collision investigation unit.
