Warning for snow in parts of Devon and Cornwall
Met OfficeA yellow weather warning for snow has been issued for parts of Devon and Cornwall.
The Met Office said the warning would come into force at 05:00 GMT on Thursday and would remain in place until about 15:00 GMT the same day.
It said snow was most likely to fall over higher ground, where about 2-5cm of snow was "probable", while higher parts of Dartmoor could see a dusting of between 5-10cm.
Travel disruption was possible and there was likely to be a risk of ice, it warned.
'Give yourself extra time'
The Met Office said driving conditions could be dangerous.
"Keep yourself and others safe by planning your route, giving yourself extra time for your journey," it said.
BBC South West broadcast meteorologist Bee Tucker said Friday was due to be cold, dry and sunny.
She said the next named storm was also expected to push in later on Friday, bringing strong winds and heavy rain.
