Police are appealing for information after a man allegedly assaulted a group of young girls, punching one in the face three times, in south east London.

Detectives at British Transport Police (BTP) released images of a man after receiving reports of an unknown man barging into the group of girls outside Gipsy Hill station shortly before 19:45 GMT on Thursday, 6 February.

When the man was challenged by one of the girls, it is alleged the man racially abused her and then began punching her.

The group of girls reported that when they attempted to intervene, they too were assaulted by the man.
