Stamford's Burghley House in South Kesteven has been used to film The Crown and the upcoming Frankenstein film

Film locations across South Kesteven will be put forward to industry experts in a bid to increase the area's appeal.

As part of South Kesteven District Council's (SKDC) Set-Jetting project, a screen networking event will be held on 24 February 2025 at the Stamford Corn Exchange.

A film proposition brochure, detailing location suggestions across the district, will be handed out to those at the event, including producers, crew, location managers and commissioners.

SKDC leader Ashley Baxter said the council wants to "encourage new and returning film-makers and production companies" to the district.

He added: "Beautiful South Kesteven is already a famously film-friendly district.

"We know tourists love to visit film locations and this is a great opportunity for us to help them to do so.

"It’s an area with huge potential for filming and we want to hear about potential sites and buildings that we can add to our offer."

The project is being run by Lincolnshire County Council with a £55,000 grant from SKDC's UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

SKDC said more details for the event will be released soon.
